Black n White Sunday: World Pet Memorial Day & Paw Pods

Today's post is in memory of three amazing animals.

Belle, the Great American Farm Dog, was my grandpas service dog. She allowed him to maintain his independence while assisting him on the farm.

Annabel was 18 years old when she passed. She was my mom's first true pet.

Mahoney was my first true pal. Although he was taken from us too soon, he was a great role model and friend to me in the short time I've known him.

World Pet Memorial Day is a day for which pet owners around the world are encouraged to celebrate the lives of their lost, beloved pets. Falling on the second Sunday in June every year, the day is an opportunity to help bring closure and remembrance to grieving pet parents.

It is now my pleasure to introduce you to Paw Pods

All of Paw Pods products are constructed from 100% biodegradable, all-natural materials such as bamboo and rice husk. Each pod and urn comes with a sympathy card and seeded leaf that can be planted with the you pet and will bloom beautiful wildflowers year after year as a living memorial.

The pods range in price from $9.95 to $199.99 and the urns range from $19.95 to $49.95.

Pets come in all different sizes, from gold fish to full size dogs and Paw Pods has pods and urns to accommodate each and everyone of your pets. Paw Pods has six different sizes of Pods, two different sizes of Urns as well as a Fish Pod and Heart Pod.

About a year ago, Annabel passed away in my mom's arms. Since then we have had her ashes in the house not knowing what to do with them. The thought of putting her in the ground without a proper container didn't feel right. But now, we can place her and her sister, Rascal, in one of Paw Pod's urns. They can finally be put to rest under one of the trees out on the farm. And having wild flowers come up every year will be a beautiful way to remember them.

In observance of World Pet Memorial Day, for a limited time, Paw Pods is offering 20% off orders placed on their website from June 6th thru 10th.
