Poop Math
A dog drops on average poops 3/4 pounds of waste daily. That means if your town has 730 dogs that is approximately 550 pounds of dog waste is generated each day! Even if half of that was picked up daily that is still 225 pounds of poop! Yuck, that is a lot of POOP!!!
Being a Scooper Hero is Easy as 1-2-3:
1. Bring a Bag
2. Clean it up
3. Dispose of the waste
It really is that easy!
How do you properly dispose of that waste you ask?
- You can use a scooper method, bag method or shovel to pick up the poop.
- Make sure you put it in a bag and seal it before placing it in the trash.
- Do Not compost your pet waste!
Here are 5 reasons dog owners must Scoop That Poop.

DeleteThanks for the calculations! That is a whole lotta waste!
ReplyDeleteIt is gross to think about it on such a bigger scale then just one dog. It really hit home for me better when I started thinking about how big my town and the pet to human ratio! Scoop That Poop People!!! :)
DeleteThe county next to us did a study of the amount of dog poop generated and equated it to the number of humans it would take to generate that much. I forget the number but it was a lot.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how quickly poop can add up!
DeleteWow - once you look at poop numerically it's pretty numbing! Great post and thanks for being part of the hop!
