Tasty Tuesday: "When Pigs Fly"

When I hear the word "Beggin' Strips" my mouth immediately starts to water. I mean what dog or human can resist bacon, right?

My mom saw this new Beggin' Strip product in the store called Beggin' Poppers and needing to test it out on her official taste tester.

From the first time I saw the commercial with the catch phrase "When Pigs Fly" I knew I wanted to test it out.

For those of you who haven't seen the commercial, here it is:

My mom finally came home for the store. She placed the container on the counter, almost to tease me as she put away the other items. When the time had finally come what does she do first, that's right takes pictures. Really? All I wanted to do was bark my head off, but that would have only delayed the process.

Snap, snap, snap, snap, snap, snap, snap, snap, and another snap with the camera.

Finally, she unscrews the lid takes out a handful of pure yumminess, then screws the pig like head back on the container.

She instructed me to sit, which for the record I already was doing. She places one of the treats on the "pig" nose and pushes it in.

.........POP.......

"Where did it go, where did it go?" Here it ended up flying to one side, almost behind the refrigerator. Alright, take two, again pushing the treat into the "pig" nose.

.......POP.......Thump!

It fell straight down. We gave it about 10 more tries. In those tries only once did it go high enough for me to catch it in the air. The other times it went straight down or off to a side. Which reminds me, I hope mom cleans behind the refrigerator soon.

To give this adorable container a throe testing we tried some of my crunchy Nutro treats that were lighter in weigh. We tried both one at a time and two at a time and they flew across the room. Which was more entertaining for both my mom and me!

The treats themselves did not disappoint and even though the container is adorable it's not all that it is cracked up to be. If you are expecting high flying action you might want to stick with you human throwing your treats in the air.

My mom will continue to work on her "When Pigs Fly" training and I will continue with my seek and find skills.

One final note is that this container does make for a great overnight/day trip storage container for your dog food or treats.

Black n White Sunday: Help!

(This is what the picture looks like, but in color)
Got Antler? is doing a contest right now and the top 5 more "Votes" wins. All the winners will be able to donate the same amount of their winnings to their choice of do rescue or shelter. I would love to be able to shower the Brown County Humane Society with antlers for all their dogs, but I can't do it without your help!

Please "Click Here", "Like" Got Antler? and "Vote" for me.  I'm under my mom's name "Brittany Phillips."

Thank you all so much in advance, I truly appreciate everyone's help!

Sepia Saturday: Ready. Set. Play.

Ready......

.....Set.....

.....PLAY!!!

Oh boy, do I love my tractor toy. My grandpa would be proud that I'm a Case IH lover too!!!

*Mom's Note: This has been one of the most durable toy Spencer has played with in a long time. After one day he normally has one or two holes in. But this toy after two months of daily playing has only 3 tiny holes in. Very impressed, but then again red tractors are better then green ones, right?!?!?! :) Here is where we got the tractor from if you were wondering.

If anyone has any tips or tricks using Twitter and/or participating in Twitter Chats I would appreciate any advice you have to offer! I know the basics but have "Hope" to use it to its full potential.

Mischief Monday: The Sunshie Award

The Sunshine Award is given by bloggers to other bloggers that they admire. Here is how this award works:
  • Thank the person who gave you the award.
  • Name ten things about yourself that others might not know.
  • Pass the award on to ten other bloggers.

With that being said I would like to thank Love is Being Owned by a Husky blog for giving me this amazing award! I encourage you to check out their blog. They have only been blogging since November but have been doing an amazing job including co-hosting the "Thoughtless Thursday" blog hop.

Here are ten thing you might not know about me:
  • I am from a liter of 9 where half of us shed and half do not shed. I'm luck to be one of those that do not shed.
  • My favorite toys are the smallest ones possible.
  • I have an irrational fear of small dogs, maybe because they remind me of a cat.
  • I don't like sports, mostly football since my mom's favorite team is the Vikings and she ends up yelling at them a lot.
  • I have won ever sit and stay contest.
  • I enjoy doing daily push ups.
  • I'm not trust with when there is food on the counter, I mostly counter surf when pizza is present.
  • Wrapping paper scares me.
  • My best friend is Callie the Cat even if she doesn't realize it.
  • I lay on the couch when the humans are not home, even though I'm not suppose to.

There are so many blog that have touched me since starting in September that it was hard to pick just ten. These blogs that I have nominated have been some that have played a big role in helping me shape my blog and inspire me to set my goals high.

Now the time has finally come to pass on this amazing and bright award:

Thank you again to Love is Being Owned by a Husky and please check out the blogs that I have nominated. Tell them that Spencer sent you!

Thoughtless Thursday: March Madness

Are you ready for March Madness??? In my house my mom and dad are polar opposites when it comes to sports. While mom watches anything with a score board, dad watches Star Wars. So while dad was going this past weekend me and mom watched none stop state high school boys basketball tournament. Which means girls basketball is on this weekend! Thank goodness for DVR since mom works this weekend!
Gotta love this time of the year! :)

Fit Friday: Melting Snow

It's beginning to look a lot like SPRING!

It's about time the snow starts to melt! Look at all this fun mud in my own back yard to play in.

"Where are they, where are they, I know they are out here." I'm referring to my ball, frisbee, and bone that I have lost this winter in all this snow.

Good thing I have another toy to play with. Notice that I'm taller then the bird bath, or I should say my new water dish.

Enjoy your Friday!

*Note: I am monitored and supervised the entire time I out anytime of the year.

Thoughtless Thursday: Callie the Cat

Callie the Cat is out to get me. She keeps dropping hints to human mom about getting more kitties. "So cute and cuddly," she says. "I just want someone to 'play' with that's my size," Callie pleads. But I think she actually wants to amass an army. Sometimes, I catch her looking at the Risk game board and laughing with a deep sinister purr. The humans are becoming more under her paw-thumb every day. I worry about the fate of the world when Callie becomes the general. I also worry about the striped bow ties that will sure be the uniform . . . stripes just don't look good on my figure!

Tasty Tuesday: Frozen Yogurt Treats

Did you know that dogs can eat yogurt?
They can!

Yogurt is a great source of calcium and protein that your dogs will love. When choosing a yogurt, pick one that has live active bacteria and no sugars or artificial sweeteners. The active bacteria may act as probiotics and is good for your dog's digestive system.

This treat is great during the summertime or anytime. It is easy, quick and good for your dog.
What more can you ask for?
Supplies:
  • Yogurt
  • Mold/Ice Cube Tray
  • Freezer
Directions:
All you do is pour the yogurt into your mold or ice cube tray and place it in the freezer until frozen.
Pop out and Enjoy!
