8 Photos of Happiness

I have been recently nominated by My GBGV Life, Confessions of a Rescue Mom, and Carma Poodale to participate in the 8 Photos of Happiness event. This event was started by Ariel's Little Corner of the Internet. The rules are simple: Thank your nominator/s and link them in your post. Link the creator, Ariel's little corner of the internet. Post your 8 photos of happiness - the photos can be anything that represents a moment, object, place or feeling that makes you happy. Pop in a brief description of the photo, why you chose it or let the photos do the talking! Spread the happiness and tag up to ten other bloggers! So lets get started!
I use this picture is to educate people about the Goldendoodle breed. The biggest misconception people have about Goldendoodles is they don't shed. When I tell people that Goldendoodles can shed and some shed a lot people are taken back. I come from a liter of 9, half of us don't shed (including myself) and the other half sheds a lot. I'm considered a First Generation (F1) Goldendoodle, meaning one of my parents are 100% Golden Retriever (my mom) and the other parent is a 100% Standard Poodle (dad). F1 doodles split the attributes of their parents 50:50. So F1 Goldendoodles can either shed a lot, lightly or not at all.

To learn more about the Goldendoodle breed here is the link.

Being a rescue dog I love to give back to rescue organizations and humane societies. This photo is one of my hauls I've made to a shelter. Since starting blogging almost two years ago I'm happy to say I've been able to donate over $500 to my two favorite organizations.

Being from Minnesota I had to share one of my favorite winter photo. If you look closely you can see my breath in this picture. Boy, I sure love the snow!

Every time I go to the farm I'm happy. There is so much to do, like run around endlessly, smell the great smells, and roll in the grass.

I love to get all dressed up and make people smile!

My absolute favorite past time is to play fetch. Some may say I'm even obsessed!

Again, educating people on the importance to rescuing and supporting these organizations is so important to me.

Finally, this last picture, even though you can't see out faces, you can tell we are one big, happy family! People may have a disability, either physical or mental, but dogs look past those differences and love you for the person you truly are.

Now time for the nominations. I'm not sure who hasn't been nominated, please let me know if you haven't. I would love to nominate you!

This was a so much fun going through my loads of photos to narrow it down to just 8 pictures. Hope you make happy moments throughout your day.

Ice Cream Social

Guess who I met up with recently??? That's right Emma and Bailie from My GBGV Life! We met up at a local dog park where Emma asked me to help her taste test some ice cream treats with her and her sister.

While their mom was setting things up, we stayed in the shade and supervised. Nothing is worse then being all sweaty for a photo shoot.

It was so much fun to see Emma and her mom at work. I got some great tips and tricks to make my pictures even better.

Finally it was time to the taste test. The girls let me try the peanut butter and cheese flavored ice cream. While they sampled the mint flavored ice cream. Boy oh boy, the ice cream is so yummy. But I think I ate it too fast, now I have a brain freeze.

Emma ate every last drop and when we all were not looking she tried to steal a bite of Bailie's.

For a spunky young lady I was thinking Bailie would gobble her ice cream right up. But nope, she ate it with elegance and grace, savoring each and every bite.

I would like to thank Emma, Bailie and their mom for a wonderful ice cream social. It was a hot, humid day here in Minnesota and the ice cream sure hit the spot! These two sure know how to win my heart over, through my stomach.

Farm Fun

What a week it has been out on the farm! Nothing is better then running through the grass and watching the corn grow or  breathing the fresh manure. But the best part  hanging out with my pals Abbey, Louie, and Carlie.

"Lets go, lets go, throw the ball already, throw it, throw it, THROW IT!"

When told to sit this is what you get, Carlie looking at the birds, Louie sitting, and I'm laying down.

This is my favorite picture from the farm! I would like to call this picture,
"One Happy Dog!"

It looks like my pals are going to have a quiet weekend. They sure look tired. Now it is time for my nap! Have a wonderful weekend everyone, we will see you next week.

Dr.Seuss "What Pet Should I Get?

"Make Up Your Mind!"

Yesterday, Dr.Seuss just released a new book called, "What Pet Should I Get?" I'm a fan of his other work and jumped on the opportunity to pre-order my own copy months ago!

"What will we do?"

The story is about Kay and her bother. Their parents told them they could go to the pet story and pick out a new pet.
But they found out how hard it was to pick out just one.

"We have to pick ONE pet and pick it out soon!"

In true Dr.Seuss style there is rhyming throughout the book. I absolutely love the ending of this book. But, you are going to have to read it for yourself to see how it ends!

There is a great tribute to Dr.Seuss himself at the end of the book. There you will find a note about Dr.Seuss, his pets, and how this book came to be!

This is a great book for anyone's book collection, especially children.

Callie's Mischief

Happy Monday!
As most of you know by now, we are rearranging rooms in my house. Mostly, we are taking all my stuff out of one room and putting it into another room. Well, as my kissing booth was sitting out this weekend Callie took the opportunity to sit in it. Let's just say she now has a lot of explaining to do!
Hope you all have a great Monday. Stay out of trouble! :)
