WW: Halloween Tricks

I just love when people come to my house. And I do my best to greet them with as much enthusiasm as possible. I mean, who doesn't want to feel welcome. Now here is the tricky part, my house is in the prime trick or treating spot in town. We average anywhere between 150-175 little humans running up to my house on Halloween. So, how do my humans keep me in the house and make sure the goodies go out without any problems.....

A Baby Gate!

That's right, a baby gate. Every year my humans set up a baby gate at our front door. After setting it up we decorate it with spooky fabrics, chains, and lights to get it looking festive.

And there you have it, candy going out and unfortunately I'm staying in. But don't worry I still greet them with a smiling face and a wagging butt and in return the kids spoil me with a pat on the head.

Do you have any tricks you use on Halloween to help make the night easier with your dogs? Please share, I would love to hear about them.

Black and White Sunday: Halloween Week

Happy Halloween Week!
I'm going to start off this spooktacular week cheering for my Vikings. Check out my fun black and white football outfits my human got from Target. I just hope we can pull out a win, my paws are always crossed.

Fit Friday: Playing in the Leaves

I know I have mentioned this once or twice or maybe three times, but I just love this time of the year because I get to: Playing in the Leaves.

One of my favorite past time is to play hide 'n seek. My humans will tell me to stay and they go and hide one of my toys out of sight. Then they say the famous words, "All done" and I dash out to find my toy. Now that we have so many leaves on the ground to make a giant pile, I love playing this game outside. With all the fun and interesting smells out right now playing in a pile of leaves is amazing. Not only am I working my body but also my mind.

As you can see I'm working on my football skills by recovering a fumble. Maybe the Vikings could use my help. What do you think?

WW: Please Vote!

Halloween is just over a week away! There is still so much to do: carve the pumpkins, get the treats, decorate, and most important work on my costume. It will be a secret what, or should I say who I'm going to be this year. But wanted to share my past Halloween costumes with all my fur-iends!

As you can see I love to dress up in different occupational uniforms or as famous people. I want to hear from you, which look do you like the best:
The Doctor
The Farmer
The Pizza Maker
A Scotsman in a Kilt
A World War II General
Benjamin Franklin

Superheroes Need Help Too

Even superheroes need help getting around from time to time. Good thing I have my humans when I need them to drive me around to help save the day!

Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, humans, animals, or organizations. I have a handful of heroes in my life and would like to share two of them.

First, RAGOM, the wonderful organization who rescued my mom from a puppy mill. Another hero is my beloved pal Mahoney. He was my first true friend and I think of him everyday. I will see him again at the Rainbow Bridge.

Who is your hero?
